Between October 2003 and April 2006, the school underwent a major building and refurbishment programme as part of the Mid-Bedfordshire PFI scheme. In November 2006, the Mid-Bedfordshire PFI scheme was officially opened by the Queen during a visit to Bedfordshire.

School Catering
School meals and vending within the school is the responsibility of GallifordTry (Facilities Management), our PFI partners.
The school operates a Biometric cashless cafeteria system before school, at break and at lunchtime. The price of a school set meal (which includes dinner and pudding) is £2.00. Money loading machines are placed around the school and cheques can be paid in at the kitchen. Any queries regarding the cards please see the Kitchen Manager in the Café D’Art.
