Make Yourself Heard
Student Voice is well established at Harlington and involves lots of students in a whole range of different activities. Here are just a few of the activities that students have taking part in at Harlington Upper School:
- Talking to Ofsted during the last inspection
- Attending governors meetings
- Managing a budget of £10,000
- Organising and leading a Harlington 'Masterchef' competition for Upper, Middle and Lower students
- Redesigning the Sixth Form common room and ICT room
- Leading training for students at seven London Academies on how they can improve teaching and learning in their schools
- Interviewing and observing teachers who have applied to work at Harlington
- Students as Learning Partners; a scheme where students work closely with teachers to review their lessons, helping to improve teaching and learning.
- Peer mentors helping to support each other at Harlington, Arnold and Parkfields
- Organised and led several inter-house sporting and fund raising events
The students at Harlington have achieved a lot in the last year but there is still more to do with Student Voice in the future so if you are interested in making your opinions heard or would like the opportunity to become involved in the various House Councils, Sports or Charity Committees - or even the Student Leadership Group then please ask your Form Tutors how you can get involved or contact
