WHY TEXTILES?
The Textiles Industry offers diverse employment opportunities that range from careers relating to fibre, yarn and fabric manufacture, dyeing and printing, product designing, manufacture, advertising and marketing as well as numerous opportunities linked to all areas of ICT and technology. Environmental issues along with social, moral and spiritual values are also at the forefront of the Textiles Industry. The course aims to develop independent learning through learners becoming responsible for their own target setting, monitoring of their progress, planning, organisation and management of time and resources. Learners will develop a wide range of practical skills by designing and making products and using CAD/CAM.
