Harlington Upper School

Harlington Upper School is a friendly, successful, rural comprehensive school located one mile from junction 12 of the M1 with over 1,400 students in years 9 to 13.  In 2010, 87% of students gained 5 or more A* - C grades at GCSE.

We are a Specialist Science College and our students have achieved fantastic A level results. The pass rate (grades A – E) is 97%. Overall, a superb 42% of all grades are A*, A and B; the highest grades available. We have recently completed a major building programme providing first class accommodation and superb ICT facilities. Student Support Assistant
Up to 35 hours per week (term time only + 5 school training days)
NJC level 3D (point 18 – 21)

The purpose of this post is to provide welfare support for individual students and help them to manage their own behaviour. This is an important role in the school, helping young people to maximise their own potential and supporting the school community as a whole.
