Central Bedfordshire Council provide the service for School Admissions.
Children normally transfer at 13+ (end of Year 8) to the catchment area upper school. All upper schools have a 6th form and pupils may remain at the school up to the age of 18 or 19 years.
Parents have a right to express a preference for a school which is not within the catchment area, but places can only be offered if there is space available. If the number of requests for places at a school exceeds the number of places available, places will be allocated in accordance with the Admissions Criteria for that school.

General Information for Parents
During the year before transfer
Parents will be invited to an “Open Evening” at Harlington to meet the Headteacher, staff and students; this is usually held in October.
Parents and students will be invited to a ‘New Intake Evening’, this is usually held between the end of March and the beginning of April.
In June parents and students who are transferring to Harlington will be invited to an Information Evening;
In June pupils who are transferring to Harlington will be invited to spend one day at the school working with their new teachers and becoming familiar with the school.
