Head of Year 13
I joined Harlington Upper School in 1998 as a teacher of Science. I have since worked in a wide range of roles from KS3 Leader in Science to Assistant Head of Sixth Form and House Leader of Pegasus House. I am now responsible for the 360 students in Years 12 and 13, ensuring that they make the very most of their potential while at Harlington. This involves both pastoral support and monitoring academic progress. I am always keen to impress on students the importance of making the most of the fantastic opportunities offered here at Harlington and getting involved in the huge range of activities that go on outside of the classroom.
I have seen many changes during my time at Harlington, including the complete rebuilding programme and the changes to the tutoring system. It is a privilege to work in a school in which students thrive and flourish in the community developed through the tutoring system. Please contact me about any aspect regarding Sixth Form students.
Mr J Elmes
Head of Year 12
Hello, I am the Head of Year 12 and a teacher of Mathematics. These are roles that I thoroughly enjoy as I get to work with some amazing young people. I am proud to help provide a positive experience for all our students, ensuring that they receive the appropriate support and guidance needed while with us and to prepare for the next stages in their lives. As a pastoral leader, I have been given the opportunity to help our students stay safe and be high achieving, well-rounded individuals, who are prepared for life in our modern world.
If you have any questions about Harlington Sixth Form, please contact me.
