Harlington Diploma
The Harlington Diploma encompasses the holistic nature of Sixth Form Life ensuring students are making the most of the opportunities offered in extracurricular, community service, leadership and work experience.
Connolly Foundation Student Award
The scheme awards financially, students who meet certain criteria for ‘academic excellence’ and go onto study at University. Awards of up to £1000 are available for successful students and they can continue to apply for the scheme every year they are at University.
Bursary
Financial support available to students who meet the criteria, to help with the cost of travel, equipment and trips.
EPQ
The Extended Project Qualification gives students the opportunity to research and produce a report based on a topic linked to their chosen field of study at University. The EPQ is recognised by many Universities and can gain students UCAS points.
A Wide Range of Courses
We offer a wide range of courses at A Level and Level 3 BTEC with a new and exciting opportunity to study Sociology at A Level starting this year.
Extended Induction Period
Four-week introduction to studying at Sixth Form aimed at supporting students making the jump from a disrupted Year 11 due to COVID to studying A Levels/Level 3 BTEC’s
Student Leadership opportunities
Students are encouraged to take on leadership roles within the school, becoming part of Student Leadership team or a Sixth Form Ambassador.
Societies
A wide and ever-growing range of societies are available for students to join, including The Harlington Chronicle, The Medical Society, The Environment Group and Debating society.
Councils
Students have the opportunity to be the voice of the student body by representing one of a number of councils, including Charity Council, Events Council, Leavers council and Diversity Council.
Trips
Many subject specific trips, including Biology Field Trip to Devon, Physics trip to CERN in Switzerland, not to mention the World Challenge trip to Cambodia.
