Sixth Form Personal Electronic Device Policy

Sixth form students may use any personal electronic device while in the sixth form area, but the device must be out of sight when they leave it.

Phones are also permitted in lessons but only if they are sanctioned by the teacher for educational use.

Should a sixth former be seen with a phone or earphones outside the sixth form area, they will be challenged to put them away.

Staff will not confiscate, but ask for them to be put away.

Should any student persistently need to be spoken to, their name will be escalated up to their Head of Year.

The HOY will then meet with the student to reiterate our expectations, with the loss of privileges and contact home.
